Funeral services for June Morris Ray, 79, of Hilda, SC will be held twelve o’clock noon on Monday, July 5 2021 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Tony Carter officiating; burial will follow in the Double Pond Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Memorial contributions may be given to Hilda First Baptist Church, 145 Church St., Barnwell, SC  29812 or Double Pond Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 357 Double Pond Rd., Blackville, SC  29817. Mrs. June passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021.

Born in Barnwell County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Berkley Ansel Morris Sr. and Eloise Delk Morris. She was a member of Hilda First Baptist Church. She received her cosmetology degree from Columbia Beauty School and worked as a beautician for many years. Later, she went to work at Bank of America where she retired as a bank teller. Mrs. June was a loving wife, mother and “Bubba” to her family; she loved taking care of her loved ones.

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years Francis Patrick “Pat” Ray, Sr. of the home; daughters Angela (Marvin) Bonnette of Bolentown, SC and Amy (William) West of Providence, SC; a son Francis P. Ray, Jr of Knoxville, TN; grandson Tyler West;  brother B. A. (Hazel) Morris, Jr. of Hilda; sister-in-law Virginia Morris; a brother-in-law, J.O. Fenn and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers Waymon Morris, Carolyn D. Fenn, Lavinia D. Neal, and Terrell Dyches.
