Funeral services for Juanita Still “Nita” Zissett, 80, of Olar, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Olar First Baptist Church with the Reverend Harry Warren officiating; burial will be in the Olar First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Tuesday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of one’s choice. Juanita passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021.
Born in Barnwell County, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Bunyan Still and Elizabeth Dyches Still and was married to the late Sheldon Zissett. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olar and was baptized in Aldrich Pond in Barnwell County. Juanita previously worked at E.T. Barwick’s, the Sewing Room in Denmark, operated the Big Chic in Blackville for a number of years and was a homemaker. She loved recipe books, working in the garden, watching the hummingbirds, feeding the birds and she also enjoyed fishing. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed family-time with all of her family.
Survivors include her children Wanda (Marty) Croft of Olar, Gwen (Bob) Collins of Aiken, Brenda Colley and her fiancé Ronnie Davis of Olar, Stanley (Lynn) Zissett of Olar, Kathy (Kenny) Jones of Olar, Andy (Marie) Zissett of Barnwell and Chris (Becky) Zissett of Blackville; two brothers Alvin Still of Hilda and Bobby (Sarah) Still of Morristown, FL; her grandchildren Will (Shirley) Croft, Brian (Emily) Croft, Christy Collins, Bobby (Christina) Collins, Trey (Brandy) Colley, Tracey (Jason) Turpin, Summer (Adam) Williamson, Elizabeth Zissett, Misty (Rolin) Morris, Jarrett Zissett, Kodee Zissett, Braedden Zissett, P-Nutt Zissett, Chandler Zissett, Chanston Zissett, and Channing Zissett; her great grandchildren Michael, Kayden and Kaleb Croft, Tyler, Stan and Grace Zorn, Lil Brian, Willow and Lillee Croft, McKintley and Ky Morgan, CG Saitz, Sheldon and Leighton Collins, Mikalah and Logan Ayer, Austin Colley, Raylin and Addison Turpin, Brier and Hartley Williamson, Keegan, Jaiden, Avah, Carsten, Aubreigh, Anzlee and Wiley Zissett, Daniel Elkins, Jazzie Still; Zack and Conner Morris and her dog and “nighttime protector” Nippy.
In addition to her husband, Sheldon Zissett, she was preceded in death by a grandson Dalton Zissett; two granddaughters Mallaree and AleighGrace Zissett; and a great grandson Noah Turpin; her sisters Gertrude Still and Mamie Sanders; brothers Pete Still, Russell Still, James Still, Dodson Still, Grosslee Still and Thurman Still.
