Juanita (Still) Hair

Graveside funeral service for Juanita S. Hair, 85, of Barnwell, SC will be held eleven a.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Joshua Keels, Dr. Robert Keels, Thomas Varnadoe, and Reverend Kyle Harding officiating. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place. The service will be live-streamed on our Official Folk Funeral Home - Live Stream Facebook page for those unable to attend. Juanita passed away on July 27, 2020.

Born in Columbia, SC on October 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Lennie Lee and Tinnie Irene Still. She was a dedicated member of Friendship Baptist Church and loved to share her love of Christ more than anything. She went on mission trips to Haiti and Honduras where she shared the word of Christ to others. She was also the founder of The Sunshine Prayer Group, which met every Wednesday for over 20 years. Juanita loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and it showed in her love for others. Her favorite hobby was gardening and sharing her flowers with everyone. One summer she gave out 150 arrangements of her own fresh cut flowers. Her love and passion for taking care of others brought her joy and she spent many years as a dedicated caregiver. Juanita had a talent for writing. She enjoyed writing poetry, songs and a book dedicated to her children about her life. Juanita was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a loving friend who will be missed by many.

Survivors include her daughters Kathy Keels of Greer, Renee (Johnny) Holden of Barnwell, Faith (Vaughn) Martin of Blackville and Rhonda Croft of Barnwell; grandchildren Dr. Joshua (Sarah) Keels, Dr. Robert (Tara) Keels, Brittany Sloan Holden (Jamie Towne), Ryan (Amanda) Blankenship, Macy Croft, Savannah Faith Martin (Cody Davis), Wyatt Ward, and Kensington Hope Martin; great grandchildren Austin Keels, Easton Keels, Harrison Keels, Griffin Keels, Graham Lee Keels, Asher Keels, Isaiah Collins, Sailor Lennon Holden and Isabella Collins; a sister Rose (Thomas) Varnadoe; nephew Gene (Theresa) Varnadoe; great niece Breanna Varnadoe and a great nephew Trey Varnadoe.

She was preceded in death by her niece Melyndi Varnadoe; grandson Dakota Martin; son-in-law Norman B. Croft; son-in-law Reverend Frank Keels; a sister Ogreta Keller and Frankie Hair.
