Joyce Polk Phillips

 A Celebration of Life will be held for Joyce Phillips on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the First Baptist Church Merge.  The family will receive friends at noon, and the service will begin at 1:00.  Joyce went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 31, 2024.  She was born in Norfolk, Virginia in 1943 to Willard and Blossom Polk.  As a Navy family, they moved all over the country, but Barnwell held a special place in her heart.

Joyce will be missed by many, but especially by her loving family.  She is survived by her daughters Lauralee Townsend and Beth Cody; three grandchildren, Aralyn Townsend, Grace Cody, and Oliver Townsend; her brother Bill (Diane) Polk and her sister Patsy (Ronnie) Reece; and her beloved nieces and nephews.
