Joyce Moore, daughter of Bella Elizabeth Horne and Vernon Horne was born October 17, 1928 in Chesterfield, SC and died peacefully on 4 August 2024 in Sevierville, TN.
She spent most of her life in Barnwell and enjoyed her career at Shuron, where she made the best of friends. One of her many passions was gardening, she took great pride in having a well-kept lawn and home. Those who knew her know she was one of the most generous people who never met a stranger.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Danny) Still; a sister, Blanche Bradshaw; 2 nephews, Danny (Faye) Bradshaw and David (Kathy) Bradshaw; a niece, Deborah (Joel) Horton; her grandchildren, Melinda Dale, Daniel Dale, Amy Huff and Heather (Robert) Bratton; great grandchildren, Landin Still, Ally Sanders and Addy Sanders and many others to remember that were so special to her.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband Farrell Moore; a daughter, Linda Dale, her son, Charles Dale, Jr.; a grandson, Merrick Huff; brothers, James Horne; sisters, MaryLee Helms, Ruth Taylor and Rose Hayes.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Ashleigh Baptist Church with the Reverend Joe Wilburn officiating; graveside service will follow at the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary of Ashleigh Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
