Joyce Halburnt

Joyce Kay Halburnt, 56, of Springfield, SC passed away on Wednesday, March, 1 2023.  Born in Orangeburg County she was a daughter of the late Edgar Halburnt and Martha Elizabeth Chavis Halburnt. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two o'clock p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023 in the First Baptist Church of Springfield. 

Joyce was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springfield and was a self-employed housekeeper. She had a love for children and worked in the children’s nursery for 18 years at First Baptist Church of Springfield.

Survivors include Curtis Churchwell, Jr.; a son, Curtis Andrew (Amy) Halburnt of Springfield, SC; daughters, Rosanna Churchwell of Summerville, SC  and Christy (Shane) Hulon of Holly Hill, SC; sisters, Tammy (Tim) Bryant of Blackville, SC, Rose Johnson of North, SC, and Mary Gable of Orangeburg, SC; brothers, Earl Johnson of North, SC and Kevin (Jennifer) Cooper of Springfield, SC; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kinsley, Taryn, Jasper, Novalee, Payton and Scarlett and  numerous Churchwell in-laws and family members who she dearly loved.
