Funeral Services for Johnny Kinard, 75, of New Castle, IN, formerly of Barnwell, SC will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2024 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel Williston, SC with Reverend Don McCormick officiating; burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport with US Military Honors Accorded. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the funeral home in Williston. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org. Mr. Johnny passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
Born in Barnwell County, SC, he was a son of the late John Henry Cling and Nora Cling Kinard. Johnny was a truck driver for most of his life and enjoyed being out on the road. Johnny enjoyed riding his VW Trike and loved working on his vehicles. He was also a huge fan of the WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment. Watching Westerns was another favorite pastime. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and bonus grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Kinard; his children, Julie “JuJu” Kinard of Indianapolis, IN, Nora Evalene Kinard of Cherry Valley, NY, John Paul (Belinda) Kinard of Cherry Valley, NY, James Edward Kinard of Cherry Valley, NY, Joshua Michael Collins of Williston, SC; Bonus Children, Paige Collins of Barnwell, SC, Katrina Bendslev-Grant, of Houston, TX and Chris Rutland of New Castle, IN; 23 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; his siblings, Larry Kinard of Mississippi, Grady Lee (Joyce) Croft of Mississippi, Katie (Jerry) Miles of Mississippi, Jane Franklin of Mississippi, Sue Tidwell of Mississippi, Benny Jones of Mississippi, Ethelen Prince of Mississippi, Betty (Tom) Williams of Barnwell, Deborah (Jack) Watts of Batesburg, SC Wesley (Myrtle) Cling of Williston, SC, Ricky (France) Smith of Lexington, SC, Laura (Mike) Watts of West Columbia, SC, Mary (Ed) Solomon of Aiken, SC, Jeanette (Frank) Parker of Cleveland, TN and Minni (Harry) Fanning of Orangeburg, SC.
