Funeral services for Johnny Harold Hutto, 84, of Williston, SC will be held at twelve o’clock noon on Saturday, October 19, 2024 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Joseph Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Williston Cemetery with Masonic Rites Accorded. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Josh Hearn, Drew Mitchum, Matt Hutto, Richard Hutto, Stephen Hutto, and Wesley Zissett. Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Usher, Cecil McRacken, Jayden Loftin and Michael Barefoot. Memorial contributions may be given in Johnny’s memory to Williston First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 366, Williston, SC 29853 or the Gideons International, P.O. Box 86, Williston, SC 29853. Mr. Johnny passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Born in Barnwell County, he was a son of the late John Harold Hutto, Sr. and Georgia Mae Gray Hutto and was married to the late Jewell Amelia Zissett Hutto for 60 years. He was a member of Williston First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher; he was also a Gideon sharing the gospel to many. Mr. Johnny enjoyed playing the acoustic guitar especially in the church band. He was a member of Hope Masonic Lodge # 126, Williston, SC where he was a past master and had received his 50 year pin. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass having worked as a pipe fitter. He owned and operated Hutto Tax Service for over 50 years. After his retirement, he drove buses for Capital Tours, Lewis Bus Line, schools and churches. He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid Gamecock fan.
Survivors include his daughter, Wende (Kenneth) Rhinehart of Aiken, SC; sons, Kevin (Rose) Hutto and Tim Hutto all of White Pond, SC; a brother, Waymon (Pam) Hutto of Chapin, SC; grandchildren, Nicole (Brian) Bishop, Amanda Hutto, Matt Hutto, Brittany (Andrew) Mitchum, Sr., Alice (Josh) Hearn, Daniel Hutto, T. C. Crumley and Timothy Crumley; great grandchildren Jayden Loftin, Ava Loftin, Andrew Mitchum, Jr., Ameila Mitchum, Lexie Mitchum and Mason Grey Hearn; brother and sister-in-law, Wady (Sheryal) Zissett of Norway and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Jewel Hutto, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Mae H. Berry and a grandson, Jonathan Crumbley.
