John Griffin, Sr.

A Celebration of Life Service for John Andrew Griffin, Sr., 64, of Williston, SC will be held at five o’clock p.m., Saturday, July 17, 2021 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC. The service will be live-streamed on our Official Folk Funeral Home - Live Stream Facebook page for those unable to attend. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. John passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.

Born in Danville, VA, he was a son of Mildred Revis Griffin of Biloxi, MS and the late Charles Griffin. He was an electrical engineer who worked at Sara Lee in Orangeburg, Dixie Narco and Dayco in Williston. John enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Williston Country Club. He loved to play the guitar, entertaining his family and friends. John was a U. S. Veteran having served in the Army and the Navy for 9 years.

Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Holley Griffin; daughters Joy Bodiford of Gloucester, VA, Sonja (John) Still, Jr. of Blackville, SC; son John A. (Courtney) Griffin, Jr. of Williston; grandchildren Nadia Bodiford, Micah Bodiford, Kian Clifford, Farin Still, Joshua Still, Tyler Still, Joscelyn Jones, Havyn Jones and Piper Griffin; sister Regina (Mike) Marsh of Monks Corner, SC; brothers Steve (Ellen) Griffin of Monks Corner, Charles Griffin Jr. of Biloxi, MS and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Charles Griffin, he was preceded in death by a son Scott Griffin.
