Jeanette "Big Mama" (Still) Delk

Funeral services for Betty Jeanette “Nette” Still Delk 77, of Hilda, SC will be held at eleven a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Rommie Martin, Ken Dodson, and Harry Warren officiating; burial will follow at the Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m. Friday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Jeanette passed away at home on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 surrounded by her family.

She was a daughter of the late Cecil and Betty Still and was married to the late Horace Glenn Delk for 54 years. Jeanette was a graduate of Blackville High School, was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was an amazing cook who loved spending time with her family and enjoyed being “Big Mama” to her grands and great-grandchildren. In her younger years, she enjoyed pitching and playing church softball.

Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis (Charles) Youngblood of Lexington; her sons, Buddy (Susan) Delk of Snelling, Phillip (Renea) Delk of Barnwell, and Chuck (Shawna) Delk of Hilda; nine grandchildren, Felicia Delk, Katelyn (Robert) Davis, Ryan (Katelyn) Delk, Joshua (Crystal) Delk, Briana (Jared) Brown, Tyler (Tara) Johns, Jenna Still, Sierra (Christian) Warren, and Heather Delk; nine great grandchildren, Christian Bell, Jaxton Bell, Hunter Delk, Kinsley Kate Delk, Drake Delk, Colton Still, Raylan Brown, Amelia Delk, and Wyatt Warren; a sister, Beverly Babb; two brothers, Jerry (Estelle) Still and Tim (Angela) Still all of Barnwell, SC and a number of nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Still.

The family would like to send a heart-felt thank you to Judy Still for her love, compassion and care shown to Jeannette and her family and to Agape Hospice nurses and staff for their loving care and kindness.
