Jeanette (Pender) Cooper

A Funeral Service for Jeanette Pender Cooper, 79, of Springfield, SC will be held at two o’clock p.m., Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Springfield with Dr. Jared Pemper officiating; burial will be in the Springfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Sinclair Building at the church. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place; facemasks are requested. The service will be live-streamed on our Official Folk Funeral Home - Live Stream Facebook page for those unable to attend. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Springfield, P.O. Box 368, Springfield, SC  29146. Jeanette passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.

Born in Barnwell County, she was a daughter of the late Preston Leroy “P.L.” Pender and Winnie Carson Pender and was married to the late Francis Aubrey Cooper. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springfield where she served in many capacities through the years and was a member of the John V. Williams and the Medium II Sunday School Classes. She was also a member of the Elderberries and the Garden Club. Jeanette retired as a secretary for Joseph Walker and Company after 38 years.

Survivors include her sister Dorothy “Dot” P. (Bill) Vinson of Fairfax Station, VA; her brother Luther Barry (Evelyn) Pender of Orlando, FL; nieces and nephews Debra (Michael) Simpson, Donna Renee (Phil) Ernst, Michelle (Jerry) Kramer, Christina (Ronnie) Abriola, Cindy (Allen) Kirk and Michael (Reagan) Pender; 13 great nieces and nephews along with her special friends and family Pat and Margie Foy, Tony Solis, Beth West and many other friends and family in her church and community.

She was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Pender.
