Funeral services for Jeaneene Morgan Wise, 96, of Blackville, SC will be held at two o’clock p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverends Melissa Williams and Steve Proctor officiating; burial will follow in the Blackville Cemetery. Her grandsons will be honored to serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be sent in Mrs. Jeaneene’s memory to Blackville United Methodist Church, 50 Springs Court, Blackville, SC 29817 or the Blackville Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 365, Blackville, SC 29817. Mrs. Jeaneene passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Carlyle Senior Care of Williston.

Born in Tuskegee, AL, she was a daughter of the late John T. and Lois Higgins Morgan. She was happily married to the late William Jacob “Billy” Wise, Jr. for 68 years. Jeaneene was affectionately known as Meme by her family. She served the Lord in every aspect of her life. She was a devoted member of the Blackville United Methodist Church, served as President of the United Methodist Women and was in the Blackville Garden Club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed it the most when the family was all together. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane W. (James) Haskins; two sons, John Allen (Alicia M.) Wise and Robert “Robbie” (Sharon G.) Wise; all of Blackville, SC; her grandchildren, Allison H. (Chris) Still, Jimmy Haskins, Jason Haskins, Stacey W. (Britt) Hogg, Tracey W. (Steve) Proctor Brittany W. (David) Kanagy; great grandchildren, Morgan P. (Kyle) Hayden, Madison P. (Hunter) Brazell, Noah Darnell, Nicholas Darnell, Casen Still, Kristen Haskins (Carson Z.), Anna Haskins, Robert Hogg (Emma), Britton Hogg, McKinley Proctor and McKaden Jeaneene Proctor, Rosannah, Brynlee Rae, Ainsley, Dash, Jacob, Wynonna and Nate Kanagy; great, great grandchildren, Kintley Zorn, Bruce Hayden and Henry Brazell and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Billy, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Sara M. Quattlebaum (Quattie), Betty M. Wolfe (Harold), Mae M. Ackerman (Robert) and her brother, Robert H. Morgan.
