James "Jamie" McArthur Bolen, Sr.

James “Jamie” McArthur Bolen, Sr., 37, of Williston, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026. Born in Bamberg County, he was a son of Paula Lorene Morris Roelle and the late Michael Alan Bolen, Sr. and was raised by Paula and Brock Poe.

Jamie was a hardworking and dedicated carpenter who took pride in being self-employed and providing for his family. He had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing, or riding four-wheelers. He also enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, and especially cooking breakfast for those he loved. Above all, Jamie cherished his family and loved his children dearly.

He is survived by his son, James McArthur Bolen, Jr; daughter, Epley Grace Bolen; his sisters, Misty and Tia; and his brothers, Michael Bolen, Christopher Poe, Brock Poe, Rodney Poe, Troy Poe, and Derrick Poe. Maternal grandparents, Linda and the late L.M. Morris and paternal grandparents, Wanda and the late James Henry Bolen. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Jamie was also preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Poe.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with the Reverend Charles Morris officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday in Williston.  Burial will follow at the Williston Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Michael Bolen, Christopher Poe, Layton Morris, Ricky Morris, Ronnie Allen, Hunter Bolen, Chance McGowan and Jonathan Morris.

Jamie will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of family, and the joy he found in life’s simple moments. His memory will live on in all who knew and loved him.
