James Stites

A Memorial Graveside service for James Schneider Stites, 80, will be held at two o’clock p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Denmark Cemetery, Denmark, SC with the Reverend Matt Thomas officiating. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place; facemasks are required. The service will be live-streamed on our Official Folk Funeral Home - Live Stream Facebook page for those unable to attend. James passed away on January 2, 2021 in Arizona.

Born in Urbana, IL he was a son of the late Portia Schneider and William Stites on November 27, 1940.  He retired as a Chief of Public Service Commission for the Natural Gas Department in South Carolina. He lived in Camp Verde, AZ for almost a year and formerly resided in Columbia, SC. James enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his son Martin (Leslie) Stites; a daughter Jami Shelton and grandchildren Zachary Stites, Emily Stites, Ryan Shelton, Aaron Shelton and Kara Shelton.
