James "Junior" Myers, Jr.

Funeral Services for James Dewey “Junior” Myers, Jr.  61, of Barnwell, SC will be held at two o’clock p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Charles Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Williston Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Junior passed away at home on Friday March 21, 2025.

Born in Greer, SC he was a son the late James D. Myers, Sr., James “Jim” Rourke and Betty Jean Mitchum Myers Rourke. Junior was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and worked as an Equipment Operator for Trans-Tel Communication in Pelion, SC for a number of years. He enjoyed fishing and loved riding his motorcycle. Listening to music and playing pool were some of his favorite hobbies but he was most passionate about spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife, Susan Stevens Myers; his daughter, Dorie Jean Myers; a brother, Eddie (Cala) Myers; a sister, Eletha (James) Lawrimore; his niece, Rebecca Myers; 4 step-sisters, Cindy (Charles) Eubanks, Teresa (Lucky) Johnson, Cheryl Rourke and Debbie (Ray) Wilder and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by nephews, Michael, Jonathan and Eddie, Jr. and Adam Lawrimore.
