Funeral services for James Marion Crow, Sr., 96, of Aiken, SC will be held at one o’clock p.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with the Reverends Steve Hanna, Darrell Engle and David Richardson officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, 856 Mt. Beulah Rd., Windsor, SC 29856. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place; facemasks are requested. The service will be live-streamed on our Official Folk Funeral Home - Live Stream Facebook page for those unable to attend. The family extends a very special thank you to Agape Hospice, Kindred Health, SC House Calls, United Energy Workers and a special niece, Pam Bolen for all of the love, care, concern and attention that they have shown Mr. Jim. He passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
Born in Greenwood, SC, he was a son of the late John S. Crow and Minnie Wooten Crow. He was 1942 graduate of Greenwood High School and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Aiken where he served as a deacon. He retired from E. I. DuPont having worked in Health Physics, was a member of Hope Masonic Lodge # 126 and was an avid golfer. Mr. Jim was a U. S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his loving wife Phyllis Youngblood Crow; children Jim (Susan) Crow, Jr. of Columbia, Wayne (Sue) Crow of Aiken, Sabrina C. (Jim) Leonardo of Anderson; step-children Gail Scott (Bill) King of Blacksburg, VA, Beth Scott (Stephen) Lewis of Greenville, Randy (Mary Calabro) Scott of Aiken; 14 grandchildren David (Miriam) Crow, John (Kristie) Crow, Matthew Crow, Jeremy (Allison) Crow, Amy Crow, Mallory (Brad) Brown, Evan (Becky) Moore, Laura King, Scott King, Emsley Lewis, Jake Lewis, Graham Lewis, Tom Spence and Jon Scott; 21 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Truman Henderson, Evelyn Threatt, Jeruth Rauton, Katherine Bledsoe and Hazel McCary and a brother John G. Crow.
