Jack Carl West

Jack Carl West, 72, of Olar, SC, husband of Rita West passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024.

Born in Charleston, SC he was a son of the late Hiram West, Jr. and Dorothy Parrott West and was married to Rita Faye Carroll West for the last 50 years. Jack worked for Nibco as a machine operator and troubleshooter in Denmark, SC and Greensboro, GA until he retired. He enjoyed watching T.V. and being around the house with his loving dog “Bear”; he loved reading and studying the Bible and attended Word of Life Pentecostal Holliness Church in Bamberg, SC. Jack was a US Army veteran and served in Germany during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his loving wife, Rita West of the home; his brother, Daniel Jay (Allison) West of Fletcher, OK; a sister-in-law, Keisha (Bruce) Stanley of Lexington, SC; a brother-in-law, Johnny (Sandra) Carroll of Summerville, SC; his nieces, Cierra Faye Banks, Amanda (Andy) Draughn, Danielle West and Paula Faison; a nephew, Johnny Daniel Carroll, Jr.; great-nieces, Angel (Ralph) Johnson and Abigail Draughn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Blocker.
