Irene Sanders Frederick, 95, of Williston, SC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. The family will receive friends from ten to eleven o’clock a.m., Friday, March 7, 2025 at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC with the Reverend Charles Morris officiating. Funeral Services will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Friday, March 7, 2025 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Bill Frederick, Joey Greene, Carlton Wall, Mike Wall, William “Sport” West and Milton Widener. Memorial contributions may be given in Mrs. Irene’s memory to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 1077 SC Hwy. 39, Williston, SC 29853.
Born in Barnwell County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Moye Sanders and Minnie Lee Still Sanders and was married to the late Willard M. “Tump” Frederick for 56 years. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for over 60 years where she was in the Brown Sunday School Class, Home On Missions and also served as the church custodian for more than 22 years. She also did a Sympathy and Get Well Card Ministry at the church where she sent countless cards to others who were in need. Mrs. Irene also helped with the flower ministry at church, making sure flowers were placed in the church each Sunday. She worked at Chill-Chest and retired from the Maytag Corporation. She loved to keep her great grandchildren and made sure that they had everything they needed.
Survivors include her daughter, Janice F. Youngblood; a grandson, Clint Youngblood; great grandchildren, Macie, Stanse and Raelyn Youngblood; a great, great granddaughter, Paisley Wiles and a sister, Nell Fogle.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Marvin Frederick; sisters, Florrie S. Kennedy, Louise S. Wall and Grace Bell; a brother, Calvin Sanders and a son-in-law, C.S. “Butch” Youngblood, III.
