Ilene (Hutto) Still

Funeral services for Ilene Hutto Still, 80, of Barnwell, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Monday, March 14, 2022 at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with the Reverends Harry Warren and Dan Fogle officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from one-thirty p.m. until the time of the service at the church on Monday. Memorial contributions may be given to Georges Creek Baptist Church, 40 Dixie Ave., Bamberg, SC 29003 or Reedy Branch Baptist Church, 411 Reedy Branch Rd., Barnwell, SC  29812. Mrs. Ilene passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022.

Born in Sarasota, FL, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence E. Hutto and Nola Mae Griner Hutto. She was a member of Georges Creek Baptist Church and a member of the WMU and served in many other capacities throughout the years. She was a graduate of Barnwell High School and earned a Business Degree from Palmer Business College. Mrs. Ilene worked for the SC Department of Probation and Parole and was secretary for the Barnwell County Probate Court. She also worked as secretary for 9 years at Fairfax Baptist Church, 21 years at Reedy Branch Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing the piano.

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years Ted Stephen Still, Sr.; daughters Kathryn “Kathy” S. Rutland (Billy Wallom) of Travelers Rest; Stephanie Owens (Gregg Bates) of Williston; daughter-in-law Margaret Roxanne Odom Still of Summerton; son Lawrence (Jamie) Still of Williston; grandchildren Stephen Douglas (Christina), Rutland, Malerie (Kevin) Wall, Ted Stephen “Tripp” Still, III, Garret Odom Still, Landen Emery Still, and Harper Avery Still; great grandchildren Paxton Wall, Winston Wall, Elliot Rutland, Emmalynn Rutland, Abigail Rutland; two foster great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a son Ted Stephen Still, Jr.
