Hope Lynn McKenzie, 70, of Springfield, SC passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at six o’clock p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2026 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with Sammy Goff officiating. Friends and family are welcome to visit the home after the service on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be sent in Hope’s memory to the SPCA.
Born in San Antonio, TX, she was a daughter of late Oakley L. and Virginia Gertrude Todd Mann and was married to Harvey H. McKenzie for over 39 years. She was of the Pentecostal Faith and previously worked as a cashier in the town of Springfield, SC for many years. She loved to talk politics, enjoyed visiting the mountains and loved to read. Spending time with her family was important to her and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and loving on her animals.
Survivors include her loving husband, Harvey H. McKenzie; her daughter Amy June (Dickey) Gleaton; her sister, Robin (David) Woodward; two brothers, Arnold (Sherry) Mann and Gary (Jennifer) Mann; a granddaughter, Kayla (Tre) Thorpe; great grandchildren, April White, Jordan Thorpe, Madison Thorpe, Kaiden Thorpe, and Drake Thorpe; Sisters-inlaw, Mary (David) Brown, Thelma McKenzie, Mae Dean McKenzie and Diane McKenzie; a brother-in-law, Ricky McKenzie and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher David Pender; a step-daughter, April McKenzie; a brother, Dale Mann; Brothers-in-law, Larue McKenzie, Harry McKenzie, and Shelly McKenzie.
