Herman Keisler Obituary

A Celebration of Life Service for Herman L. W. Keisler, 75, of Williston, SC will be held at 3 o’clock p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Barnwell with Dr. Bart Kelly officiating; military honors will  be accorded. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday, February 1st. Herman passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020.

Born in Williston, SC, he was a son of the late Loy F. Keisler and Mildred Agnes Woodward Keisler and was married to Patricia Ann Williams Keisler. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnwell where he served as deacon, Brotherhood President, and was involved in the First Baptist Church Barnwell Construction, known as the Brotherhood Builders. Herman was a Gideon and served as the Outreach Minister for the Barnwell Camp. He was a proud Air Force Veteran having retired after 20 years of service and also retired from the Savannah River Site where he worked as an electrician, work control, and an instructor. Herman also enjoyed golfing.

In addition to his wife, Ann, survivors include his two sons Curtis Wade Keisler, Sr. of Charleston, SC and Wallace Franklin (Cindy) Keisler of Barnwell; 3 grandchildren Aleshia Marie Keisler, Curtis Wade Keisler, II, Angel Suzanne Keisler; 3 great grandchildren Lily Keisler, Gavin Hamilton and Tybee Hamilton; a sister Agnes K. Kerlinger of Pennsylvania and a brother Wallis Franklin Keisler of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Thomas L. Keisler and O’Neal Floyd Keisler.
