Herbert Eugene Currie

Herbert Eugene Currie. 89, of Aiken, SC passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Born in Loris, SC, he was a son of the late Doil Nicholas Currie and Lula Mae Ward. He was married to his wife Linda Lee Currie for over 60 years.  Herbert served in the Coast Guard for 4 years.  He previously worked as a Millwright and was of the Baptist faith.  Herbert enjoyed visiting with friends and family, being outdoors, fishing, dancing, listening to music and spending lots of time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Lee Currie; daughter, Judy Dziedzicki of Charleston, SC; sons, William Donavan Currie and Victor D. Currie all of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Courtney Currie, Collin Currie, and Nikita Redd; sisters Pearl Wooten, Betty Joe (Frank) Carter and Jean Taylor all of Aiken, SC

In addition to his parents, Doil and Lula Mae, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Currie; a sister, Sallie Mae Roland and a brother, Billy Currie.
