Helen (Robinson) Johnson

A Graveside Funeral Service for Helen Robinson Johnson, 76, of Neeses, SC, will be held at twelve o’clock noon on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 3705 Cope Rd., Cope, SC 29038 with the Reverend Wayne Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery on Monday and all other times at the home of her daughter, Vickie, 6439 Savannah Hwy., Neeses. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place. Helen passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.

Born in Savannah, GA, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Glenn Robinson and Eva Rhoden Robinson and was married to the late Laurice Durwood “LD” Johnson. She was a member of Double Branch Baptist Church. She retired as a trimmer having worked at Stone Manufacturing in North, SC. She loved spending time with her family and was always willing to help others. She enjoyed the daily walks with her dogs.

Survivors include her daughter Vickie Lynn Johnson Young; her grandchildren Casey Lynn (Bryan) Johnson Maxwell and Phillip- R. Lowery; great grandchildren Cayden Bryan Maxwell, Addyson Lynn Maxwell, Braylynn Nickol Maxwell and Brennan Wyatt Maxwell; her sister Jean (Mike) Kennedy of Lakeland, FL; a brother Glenn Robinson of Macclenny, FL and a sister-in-law Susan Robinson of St. George, GA along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband LD, she was preceded in death by a daughter Marsha Johnson; a son Phillip Johnson and a brother Johnny Wayne Robinson.
