Gloria (Birt) Yonce

Gloria Birt Yonce, 80, of Williston, SC passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Funeral services will be held at three o’clock p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Reverends Marion Britton and Paul Locke officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be given in Gloria’s memory to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 4384 Williston Road, Windsor, SC 29856 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Born in Barnwell County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ashley Birt and Iris Grubbs Birt. She was a retired cosmetologist having worked for 46 years; she owned and operated Personal Touch Beauty Salon for many years. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and served as the church clerk and the assistant treasurer for a number of years. She enjoyed making all types of handicrafts and giving them away. She also loved baking, working in her yard and enjoyed camping. She loved her family and her church family dearly, but most of all she loved the Lord.

Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Kenneth “Ken” E. Yonce; her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Bo Snead of Williston, SC; grandchildren, Brad (Michelle) Robinson, Jason (Randi) Robinson, and Josh (Stephanie) Snead; great grandchildren, Ariannah Snead, Anna Grace Robinson, Ryleigh Snead, Landon Snead, Andrew Robinson, Kaylee Snead, Harper Robinson, Jaycee Snead, Olivia Robinson, and Mary Beth Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her son, Don Yonce; granddaughter, Jessica Yonce; her sisters, Wilma Hartzog and Nan Bates and her brothers, Johnny Birt, Bobby Birt, and Jehu Birt.
