Gloria Sanders Caughman, 94 of Beech Island, SC passed away at home on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock p.m., Sunday June 29, 2025 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel in Williston, SC with the Reverend Brad Jay officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Barry Johns, Dalma Johns, Mickey Johns, Ken Sanders and Tracy Sanders.
Born in Barnwell County, she was a daughter to the late Frampton L. Sanders and Jenny Lou Hartzog Sanders and was married to the late Johnny Ray Caughman, Sr. for 42 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church Springfield and previously worked at Salley Manufactor in the production office. Gloria loved to shop and she enjoyed being outside in her flower garden and putting up vegetables.
Survivors include a son, Johnny Ray (Monti) Caughman, Jr. of Gilbert, SC; two daughters, Connie (Irby) Toole of North Augusta, SC and Wendy (Jim) Broome of Jackson, SC; her grandchildren, Erica (Donnie) May, Jason Caughman, Brandon Caughman, Ashely (Joe) Strickland, Bryson (Brianna) Wilson, Conner Broome and Preston Broome; great grandchildren, Rae Caughman, Cora Caughman, Joseph (Kimberly) Strickland, Lauren (Tyler) Fairchaid, and Emerson May; great-great grandchildren are Aspen Strickland and Delilah Strickland and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marilyn Johns, Alma Taylor and Elbonor Morris; brothers, Bo Sanders, Framp Sanders, Loyal Sanders and Julian Sanders.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice Services of South Carolina, especially Chris Rudd, Kari Nevius, Judi Jimenez, Mariah Jimenez, Breasiah Fields, Samantha Spencer and Amy Bush for the care and compassion shown to their mother.
