Gloria Berry Obituary

Mrs. Gloria Lynn Berry, 60, of Williston, SC entered eternal rest on October 28, 2024. A Celebration of Life Service for Gloria Lynn Berry, 60, of Williston, SC will be held at twelve o’clock noon, Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Williston.

Gloria, born in Fort Bragg, NC, spent her childhood traveling with her military family, shaping her vibrant, spicy and resilient character.

Gloria was a truly legendary woman, one of a kind. She was strong-willed, opinionated, and compassionate, with a heart of gold. Gloria adored being a mother and wife, cherishing her family and “her people” as she lovingly called them.

After the passing of her late husband, Lonnie Fogarty, Gloria found love again with JC “Jerry” Berry. Their five years together were filled with joy and love, which extended wholeheartedly to Jerry’s family.

An avid painter and crafter, Gloria loved traveling, concerts, music, and quality time with her loved ones. Recently, she found solace and joy in attending First Baptist Church of Williston, particularly enjoying the women’s Bible Study.

Gloria is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Berry of Williston, her siblings Julie Strong (Tommy) of Neeses and Robert Brown (Tracey Shaffer) of Parkton, NC. She leaves behind her beloved children; Julie Fears (Jason) Kennesaw, GA; Sheila Fogarty of Kennesaw, GA, Kathy Key of Williston, SC Brittany Castleberry (Melissa Dill) of Williston, SC; Kimberly Barefoot of Williston, SC; Donald Castleberry of Ty Ty, GA; Amber Holmes of Midway, GA; and Christy Hall (Brian) of Barnwell, SC.

Her legacy includes grandchildren Gage Haberstok, Alexis Woosley, Jordan Woosley, Layla Barefoot, Michael Barefoot, Christina “Abbi” Dill, Brandi Bone, William Boone, Kevin Boone, Sarah Fears, Katie Fears, Jacob Fears, Bryce Winum-Fogarty and Cherokee “Alyssa” Bromlow, and many nieces, nephews, as well as great-grandchildren; Colton Jackson, Haigen Nipper, and Wrenley Jackson. Gloria also loved and adopted many into her family.

Preceding Gloria in death were her husband, Lonnie Fogarty; mother, Glenda Johnson; brother, Larry Brown; daughter Lakeshia “Keshia” Bromlow; nephew, Robert Haar; and grandson, Kyle Boone.

Gloria Lynn Berry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
