A Celebration of Life for George Thomas Badger, 86, of Blackville, SC will be held at one o’clock p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Mark Epperson officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memory Gardens on Reynolds Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901. George passed away on January 9, 2025.
Born in Ciaro, Illinois he was a son of the late Perry William Badger, Sr. and Rosa Lee Graham Badger and was married to the late Evelyn Stephens Badger. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Blackville and attended Mt. Olivet in Barnwell. George retired from Chem-Nuclear having worked in the waste management department. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines.
Survivors include his loving companion, Jeanette Knight; stepdaughters, Tammy Wilson, Melissa Goliver, and Brandi Truesdale all of Barnwell; a stepson, Ricky (Darlene) Creech of KY; sister, Dorothy Spivey of Augusta; and a number of nieces and nephews; and his grand dogs, Hey-Hey and Chi-Chi.
He was predeceased in death by his sisters, Rosemary Badger and Rosie Badger; brothers, Perry Badger, Jr. William Badger and Jimmy Badger.
