Gaylon Anthony Holder, Sr., 68, of Williston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
Born on March 15, 1958, in Sanford, North Carolina, Gaylon was the son of the late Bennie Holder and Nelma Murray Holder and was married to the late Connie Long Holder. He was a hardworking man who spent much of his life as a dedicated truck driver before retiring from Savannah River Site as a warehouse operator.
Gaylon was a faithful member of Green Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church. He loved the Lord deeply and was known for his strong faith and kind spirit. He had a passion for trucking and was an avid UNC Tar Heels fan. A loving father, grandfather, and friend, Gaylon would do anything for his grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his daughters Nikki (Daniel) Ray and Emily (Luke) Dobson all of Barnwell; sons Gaylon Anthony (Tána) Holder, Jr. of Santa Fe, NM, Chris (Courtney) Priester of North Augusta, SC, Cooper (Elissa) Holder of Los Alamos, NM; grandchildren Kole Ray, Rick Ray, Kirstin Dobson, Trinity Dobson, Lucas Dobson, Mason Holder, Maya Holder, Gracie Priester, and Hayley Holder; two sisters, Nancy Holder and Barbara (Randy) Hash; his brothers Wade (Shirley) Holder, Frankie (Consuela) Holder and William (Stefanie) Holder and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents and wife, Connie, he was preceded in death by a grandson Asher Ray a sister, Beverly Godfrey and brothers, Linnie, Lawrence, Robert and Don Holder.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with Reverend Timothy Gunnells officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026 at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC.
Serving as pallbearers will be Clay Holder, Bengy Holder, Dre Sanders, Devon Holder, Michael Holder, and Richard Holder.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support shown during this difficult time.
