A Graveside Funeral Service for Gary Bernard Williams, 79, of Williston, SC will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 20, 2020 at the Ashleigh Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Joe Wilburn officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston. Gary passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 surrounded by family after a tough battle with cancer.

Gary was born to the late Claude Williams and Glessie Deyton on June 4, 1941 in Burnsville, NC. He was a proud truck driver for over 40 years and was known for his love of the mountains of western North Carolina. He was a member of Ashleigh Baptist Church, loved to sing the gospel and write stories for fun.

He is survived by his wife, Esther Williams, whom he was married to for 39 years. He is also survived by his daughters Connie Williams of Asheville, NC, Sheila Williams of Charleston, and Bethany (Bruce) Guillaume of California; his sons Gerald (Kat) Williams of Atlanta, GA, Steve Williams of Asheville, NC, Timothy Williams of Cottageville, SC and Aaron (Linsey) Williams of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, as well as his sister Rhonda (Buddy) Roland of Asheville, NC; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandson Evan Williams; his sisters Mary Dixon, Juanell Breckin and Nadine Williams and a brother Dwaine Williams.
