It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of G. Brent Carter, who departed this life at the age of 85, peacefully in his sleep at home, surrounded by his loving family in Lady Lake, Florida, on December 17, 2025.
Born on May 2, 1940, in Augusta, Georgia, Brent was a devoted computer systems engineer whose tireless work ethic was matched only by his deep love for his family. He cherished his role as a loving husband to Pat and a proud father to his children, Wanda and Wayne, instilling in them the values of family and the importance of embracing every moment life offers.
Brent found joy in the simple pleasures of life, working on cars, caring for his home, and embarking on family road trips that created lasting memories. He delighted in vacations by the water, where laughter and love thrived, and boating adventures that brought his family together.
Brent leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pat Carter; his daughter, Wanda Carter Crim; his son, Wayne Carter; his granddaughters Lily Carter; Kelly Crim Durlacher and Courtney Crim Melton. His great-grandchildren, Krystal Ivy Gross, Kyle Gross, and Nova Gross.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Brent's honor at Morrison United Methodist Church, located at 1005 W Main St, Leesburg, FL, at 11 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
