Franklin Dewey “Frankie” Hutson, Sr. passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025. A celebration of life service will be held at one o’clock p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
Frankie was a son of the late George Dewey and Lou Ellen (Rowell) Hutson and was married to the late Laraine Hutson. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed going fishing, he loved to cook and work with his hands especially doing woodworking. The most import thing was his time spent with his family and friends. He enjoyed life and was loved by many.
He is survived by his daughters Gwendolyn Adkins and Lisa Noles; sons Franklin Dewey Hutson, Jr., Tommy Barnett, and Wade (Arizona) Barnett, his brothers, Deacon and Bobby Hutson; sister, Geraldine (Hutson) Carroll. He had 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a son-in-law Henry Paul Adkins; brothers, O’Neal, Emory, Mailon, and Ethredge Hutson; a sister, Carrie Nell (Hutson) Rhoden, and his best friend Williard (Buddy) Hutson.
