Frank Randall "Randy" Platt, Jr.

Frank Randall “Randy” Platt, Jr., 53 of Denmark, SC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Funeral services will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Friday, January 30, 2026 at Double Pond Baptist Church with the Dr. Andy Sandifer, Dr. Thomas Terry and Pastor Chris Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in the Bamberg County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Thursday, January 29th at Folk Funeral Home, Denmark, SC. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ricky Shull, Rodney Croft, Greg Croft, Richard Croft, Kevin Dickerson, and Jamie Moody. Memorial contributions may be sent in Randy’s memory to the Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.

Born in Orangeburg County, SC, he was the son of Frank Randall Platt, Sr. and the late Gypsy Ann Croft Platt. He attended Jefferson Davis Academy, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Govan and the NRA. Randy was a farmer, truck driver and was a great witness for Jesus Christ.

In addition to his father, F. Randall Platt, Sr., survivors include his sister, Sherry Darleen (Tracy) Shull of Saluda, SC; a niece, Amber Shull; a nephew, Richard “Ricky” Shull; great nephews, Peyton Smith and River Shull; aunt, Janice Ray; uncles, Billy Platt, Glen (Angela) Platt, Reggie (Carol) Croft and  a number of cousins.

In addition to his mother, Gypsy Platt, he was preceded in death by his uncle, John Platt (Barbara), Billy’s wife, Leilia Platt and Oliver (Marty) Croft.
