Florine Verlin Apperson Allen Youngblood, 87, of Williston, SC passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 7, 2025. A Private Family Service will be held from one to two o’clock on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC; burial will be in the Williston Cemetery.
Born in Worth County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Archie David Apperson and Tempy Blakey Apperson. She was first married to the late Dayton Sherman Allen, Jr. and was the widow of Donald Ray “Doc” Youngblood, Sr. She worked as a nurse in various nursing homes throughout the years. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Lucille Fleming of Jacksonville, FL, Bonita (Gordon) Gray of Williston, SC, and Brenda Thomas of Williston, SC; daughters-in-law, Sophie Allen, Cris Romano, and Brenda Williams Allen; a sister, Willie Mae Dye of Georgia; a brother, David Edward Apperson of Jacksonville, FL, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cassie Allen; sons, Scott Gilbert Allen, Dayton Allen, III, and John Allen; a sons-in-law, William Fleming and John Thomas sisters, Mary Lavon Apperson and Deverna Mae Apperson; a brother James Martin Apperson.
