Evon Still Diamond, 79, of Blackville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025.
Born in Blackville, she was the daughter of the late Beulah Elkins Still and Royce Randolph Still, Sr. Evon was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Still Poston; her brothers, Royce Edward Still and Jack O’Neil Still; and the father of her children, William Donald Diamond. A member of Double Pond Baptist Church, Evon lived a life rooted in love, devotion, and family. She was a remarkably strong woman — resilient, steady, and full of grace. She loved deeply and unconditionally; her daughters and grandchildren were truly her world. She also shared a special bond with her brothers and sisters, whom she loved dearly. Evon’s quiet determination, warmth, and compassion will leave a lasting legacy for all who knew her.
She leaves behind two daughters, Michelle (Glenn) Davis of Barnwell, SC, and Kristen Diamond of Fair Play, SC; and her beloved grandchildren: Richard Linton Huggins III (Treis), Teil Diamond Huggins, Mary Tillman Davis, Hampton Glenn Davis, and Braxton William Davis. Holding a special place in Evon’s heart was Jan McDonald, a dear friend who was deeply loved by her and the family. Evon is also survived by three loving siblings: two brothers, Royce Randolph Still Jr. and Joseph Randolph Still, and one sister, Diane Still Croft.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tyler Restmore, 139 Seminole Ave SW, Orangeburg, SC 29115.
Funeral services will be held at noon at the Blackville First Baptist Church, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 with Dr. Andy Sandifer and Dr. Thomas Terry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
