Funeral Services for Emmogene Bonnette Poole, 93, of Springfield, SC will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday February 11, 2025 at the Springfield United Methodist Church, Springfield, SC with the Reverend Henry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday in the church sanctuary. The family has asked that memorials be made to the Springfield United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 207, Springfield, SC 29146. Mrs. Emmogene passed away at home on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Agape Hospice, the Center Well Services and I care 4 ULLC for their support and care shown to them.
Born in Orangeburg County, SC she was a daughter of the late Willie Eugene Bonnette and Nina Alice Fralick Bonnette and was married to the late Robert Henry Poole. She was a member of the United Methodist Woman and was loyal member of the Springfield United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, was church treasurer and served on numerous other committees. She loved playing the piano and spending time with her family and enjoyed raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara P. Young and Katherine “Kathy” P. Tindal of Salley; grandchildren, Todd (Michelle) Young, Robert (Brett) Young, Scott Tindal, Michelle (Rusty) Autrey and Rhonda (James) Young; her great-grandchildren, Savanah Young, Jacob Young, Riley Salley and Racheal Bonnette and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jeanette Fogle and Mary Alice Holmes and her brothers, Walter E. Bonnett, Clarence O. Bonnette and Talmadge L. “Sonny” Bonnette.
