Ellis Padgett

A Memorial service for Ellis Randolph Padgett, 59, of Bamberg, SC will be held at four o’clock p.m., Monday, June 20, 2022 at Reach Out Ministries, 1590 Dove Rd., Barnwell, SC with the Reverend Don McCormick officiating. Ellis passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

Born in Bamberg County, SC he was a son of the late Alford Rudolph "Doc" Padgett and Mary Geneva McCormick. He was an auto mechanic most of his life and was well-known throughout Bamberg County as a very good mechanic. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, the Edisto River, and socializing with his friends and family.

Survivors include Deborah Lynn Bryant; a brother Eddie (Jennifer) Padgett; brother-in-law Gene (Gwen) Bryant all of Bamberg;  grandchildren Summer Hutto, Little Frankie Delano Hutto and Little Joey Hightower; step-daughters Angela Bryan (Kaye) of Bamberg; step-son Milo Dixon of Bamberg; nieces Chelsea Padgett, Cadence Padgett, Teri Smith, Tonya Smith, and Steven Smith.
