Ellen Campbell

Ellen Elaine Campbell, 79, of Williston, SC passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. Memorial contributions may be given to Animal Advocates. P.O. Box 1924, Barnwell, SC 29812. No formal services will be held at this time.

Born in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late George Lewis Jones and Luna Elsie Merrill. She married her high school sweetheart, James Warren Campbell and was married for 27 years until his passing in 2006. She previously worked as a Veterinary Technician including 15 years at the SPCA and 20 years at the Barnwell Veterinary Clinic as she loved all kinds of animals. She had an infectious laugh, she had the kindest and sweetest personality that you could ever imagine. Her favorite saying was “sit long, talk much, and laugh often”.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen Lynn McMullen (David), Vicki (Wesley) Rogers, Sharon Smith, and Sandy Browder all of Williston, SC; 9 grandchildren and many and multiple great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, George Lewis Jones, Jr.
