Elizabeth Ann MacCord Parks, 80, of Williston, SC passed away at the Aiken Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
Born in Sioux City, Iowa she was a daughter of the late Joesph W. MacCord and Phyllis Eib MacCord. Mrs. Liz worked and retired in customer service from what is now AT&T. She previously attended Edisto Baptist Church in Williston then later attended the Williston Presbyterian Church. She was a voracious reader and was a member of the Friends of the Barnwell County Library. She was an exquisite quilter and loved knitting. Mrs. Liz loved animals and was an animal advocate. She had an eye for beauty and would always have everything decorated nicely. She was a huge fan of Patsy Cline and loved to dance. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her favorite quote was “No man is a failure who has friends.”
Survivors include her siblings, Marie Elana MacCord of Estes Park, CO, Robert (Lizbeth) MacCord of Manton, MI and Ceralea (Bob) Osterhout of Williston, SC; nieces and nephews, Sarah (Tim) Van Wormer, Abby MacCord (Mike Giddings), Aaron (Jillian) Card, Theresa (Jeffrey) Hofmann and Jennifer MacCord; great-nieces and great-nephews, Silas, Oliver, Ashlyn, Gabi, Amelia, Eliza and Tyler and many lifelong friends that she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Damien MacCord.
A Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Parks will be held in Williston, SC and Michigan at a later date.
