Edna (Miller) Raber

Funeral services for Edna Miller Raber, 91, of Barnwell, SC will be held at ten o’clock a.m. Friday, March 17, 2023 at the Barnwell Mennonite Church on Highway 70; burial will follow at Calvary Fellowship Mennonite Church on Jones Bridge Road, Blackville, SC.  The family will receive friends from five to eight p.m. on Thursday March 16, 2023 at Calvary Fellowship Mennonite Church. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Carolina Chaplaincy Program, 2131 Old Ninety-six Indian Trail Rd., Batesburg, SC 29006.

Edna was born on March 17, 1931, in Millersburg, OH to John and Malinda Miller. Edna was married to the late Eli A Raber.  She was a member of Calvary Fellowship Mennonite Church.  Edna was a homemaker and loved having interaction with her children and grandchildren.  She kept a cheerful and thankful spirit in spite of her blindness.  She also kept her sense of humor. Edna loved the Lord and her church, she missed not being able to attend in recent months.

Survivors include her children, Esther E Williams of Williston, Atlee E. (Erma) Raber of Wagener, SC, Ina Sue Schrock of Barnwell, David Wayne (Rachel) Raber of Wagener, SC, Melinda Kay Tice of Bridgewater, VA, Martha Ruth (Amon) Wagler of Washington, IN, and Mary Naomi (Rick) Knepp of Beaver Crossing, NE; a sister, Bena Yutzy of Hilliard, OH; nineteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Edna is preceded in death by her sisters, Katie Mast, Fannie Yoder and Erma Beechy; brothers, Roy J. Miller, Owen Miller, and Alfred Miller; a great grandson, Landon Raber; sons-in-law, Gary Williams, Melvin Schrock and David Tice.
