Eddie Creech

Funeral services for Carl Eddie Creech, 62, of Denmark, SC will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Denmark First Baptist Church with the Reverends Fabian Portunato and Anthony Day officiating. Burial with fireman’s rites will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Barnwell, SC. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Folk Funeral Home, Denmark, SC. Eddie passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Eddie’s memory to Denmark First Baptist Church, RA’s, P.O. Box 325, Denmark, SC 29042.

Born in Allendale County, SC he was the son of the late Charlie Franklin Creech, Jr. and Barbara Harley Creech and was married to the late Beverly June McClain Creech. Eddie was a devoted fireman with the Denmark Fire Department for 40 years. He was a member of the Denmark First Baptist Church where he previously served as a deacon and sang in the choir. He like to volunteer his time helping others and always enjoyed going on world changers and mission trips. He was a very generous man, and loving father who always enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family. Eddie worked as a machinist for Zeus Industrial Products, Inc. for the last 39 years.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather (Chad) Fanning of Norway, SC; his son, Joshua Creech of Denmark, SC; 2 step-sons, Shane (Kimberly) Barefoot and Nick Compton; his grandchildren, Andy (Katie) Fanning, Annsleigh Fanning and her fiancé Chad Baltzegar, Jr., Luke Fanning, Jacob Fanning, Dalton Barefoot, Cooper Barefoot and Liam Compton; a great-granddaughter, Oakleigh Baltzegar; his sister, Kathy (Harry) Bodiford of the  Long Branch community; a nephew, Harry (Ashley) Bodiford, Jr.; a niece, Jennifer (Keys) Bodiford; 2 great-nieces, Emma and Caroline Bodiford and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents Charlie and Barbara Creech he was preceded in death by a daughter Tiffany Nicole Creech.
