William Douglas “Doug” Inabinet, 79, of Springfield, SC passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Memorial contributions may be sent to the SPCA Albrecht Center, 199 Willow Run Rd., Aiken, SC 29801. No formal services are planned at this time.
Born in Savannah, GA, he was a son of the late James A. Inabinet and Agnes Givens Inabinet and was married to the late Pat McBrayer Inabinet who was the love of his life. He was a pipefitter having worked Industrial Construction for many years until his retirement and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. You could often find Doug eating and visiting with his friends at Mary’s Country Kitchen in Springfield. He loved his dogs and spending time on the South Edisto River. Doug was a historian who enjoyed talking and reading about times of the past and was a U. S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, James Ronald “Ronnie” and Lynn Inabinet of Williston, SC; nieces and nephews, Lynette (David) Corder, Ron (Lisa) Inabinet, Beau (Amy) Inabinet and Rachel (Jeremy) Wall; nine great nieces and nephews; step-sons, Wayne (Dawn) Carroll and Mark (Eloise) Carroll of Williston, SC; step grand and great grandchildren along with a number of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, George Lawrence “G.L.” “Larry” (Judi) Inabinet and a step-son, Randy Carroll.
