Dorothy was a 1967 graduate of Barnwell High School then started working for the People Sentinel until 1982. She then went to work at Savannah River Site until her retirement in 2011. Dorothy was a member of Hagood Avenue Baptist Church from 1990 to 2019 where she served as a nursery worker, Sunday school teacher and on the condolence committee. In 2019, she and Hollis moved their letter to Hilda First Baptist Church where she enjoyed being part of the Happy Fellowship group. She was loving, cheerful and funny and always looked forward to fellowshipping with the Willing Hearts at Friendship Baptist Church. She and her family were blessed that the Alzheimer’s disease did not steal her sweet disposition.
