Donnie Curtis

Donnie Byrnes Curtis 71, of Barnwell, SC passed away on Wednesday, March 4 2026. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 o'clock pm. Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Life Tabernacle Church, Barnwell SC. with Bro. Matthew Mahuron. Memorial contributions may be given in Donnie's memory to Folk Funeral Home P.O. Box 367, Williston SC.

Donnie, born in Bamberg, SC. he was a son of the late John Fred Curtis and Viola Dyches. He was a retired Carpenter having worked many years for Tracy Delk. Donnie attended Life Tabernacle church when he wanted to feel a closer presence of Jesus Christ. Donnie enjoyed fishing, gardening, raising animals, along with spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Glenda Anne Driggers Curtis of Barnwell; his daughter of TX, Donna Kay Stube, his son, Donnie Fred (Nikki) Curtis; and Dennis Eugene Curtis, all of Barnwell, SC. He is also survived by grandchildren: Gregory, Naythan, Peyton, Joseph, Hannah, Danielle, Kara, and Natalie; and two great-grandchildren. He is survived by sisters: Sandra Curtis of Blackville, SC, and Linda Lou (Ricky) Creel of Barnwell, SC; and brothers: Eddie Curtis and Earl Curtis, both of Blackville. His favorite cousin, Steve Dyches, who Donnie loved like a brother, also survives him.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Walter, and Steve and sisters, Bronell and Bonnie Sue.
