Don Bodiford

Donald Barry “Don” Bodiford, Sr., 74 of Charleston, SC, formerly of Blackville, SC passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery in Blackville on Saturday.  Graveside services will be held at one o’clock p.m., Saturday February 24, 2024 at the Blackville Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Thomas Terry officiating.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Blackville Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 365, Blackville, SC 29817.

Born in Orangeburg, SC, he was a son of the late Audrey Bodiford and Audrey Edith Lott Bodiford.  Don was a graduate of Blackville High School and attended Palmer College where he was a member of the basketball team.  He was a member of the National Guard. 

Survivors include his sons, Donald Barry (Allison) Bodiford, Jr., Andrew Boyd (Diana) Bodiford and Brent Alexander (Hilary) Bodiford; grandchildren, Hayden Bodiford, Grayson Bodiford, Emma Bodiford, Brent (Bear) Alexander Bodiford, Jr. and coming soon, Harrison Bodiford; sisters, Jane Bodiford Fore and Terri Lynn Bodiford (Mark) Bolton, and a brother Jerry Lott (Vera) Bodiford.
