Dermont Franklin Gore

A Celebration of Life Service for Dermont Franklin Gore, 68, of Norway, SC will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Denmark, SC with the Reverend Benjamin Harr officiating. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA  22116-7023. Dermont passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024

Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Jasper Eugene Gore and Margaret Ruth Kempson Gore. He previously worked as a Logistics Supervisor for Ryder. He loved hunting, fishing and playing golf and served in the U. S. Air Force Reserves.

Survivors include his wife, Deirdre Lynn Gore; a daughter, Dennie L. Gore of North Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Mikael J. (Chassy) Wilkerson and Christian J. Wilkerson; a sister, Melba Gore (Gene) Coward of Ladson, SC; two brothers, Austin (Michelle) Gore of Aiken, and Roy (Sue) Gore of England; and a number of nieces and nephews.
