Joseph Darin Floyd, 65, of Windsor, SC passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025. Funeral services will be held at three o’clock p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, Windsor, SC with Dr. David Richardson officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, 856 Mt. Beulah Rd., Windsor, SC 29856.
Born in Lavonia, GA, he was a son of Linda Hicks Floyd and the late Ancel Floyd. He was a graduate of the Sanford University, Southern Theological Seminary and was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School. He was an ordained minister, previously served as a Youth Pastor at Warren Baptist Church in Augusta, GA, and previously served as the Senior Pastor at Fellowship Church, Gibson, GA. Darin retired from the Georgia State Parole Board where he worked for 30 years. He was currently employed with the First Baptist Church of Aiken, SC. He loved his grandchildren and was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed raising cattle and horses; he loved history and random facts. Darin enjoyed vacationing with his family and especially enjoyed planning every detail; he loved vacationing in the Outer Banks, NC. He was an avid Georgia Football fan.
Survivors include his loving wife, Gail Atkins Floyd; his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca (Christopher) Hulsey of Augusta, GA; sons, Matthew (Samantha) House of Windsor, SC and Austin (Teela) Floyd of Augusta, GA; a brother, Dwayne (Susie) Floyd of Lavonia, GA.; grandchildren, Andrew, Andie Gray, Everly, Adalynn, Violet and A. J.
He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew House.
