Claudette Virginia (Duncan) Towne

Claudette Virginia Duncan Towne, 75, of Barnwell, SC passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at two o'clock p.m. with Dr. T. Bart Kelley officiating.  The family will receive friends after the gathering at the home on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be given to Folk Funeral Home, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853.

Born in Barnwell, SC, Mrs. Claudette was a daughter of the late Claude J. Duncan and Dora Creech Duncan and was married to the late William Monroe Towne. She was a member of Barnwell First Baptist Church and retired from Barnwell School District #45 where she taught kindergarten for a number of years.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Brittany Towne of Barnwell, SC; grandchildren, Chloe Christine Towne, Wil Terry (Honey) Towne, MaKayla Nicole (Austin) Bryant, and Sailor Lennon Holden and a great grandson, Owen Towne.

In addition to her husband, William Towne, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ami Claudette Towne and a sister, Deborah “Desca” DuBois.
