Cindy (Gleaton) Callahan

A Celebration of Life Service for Cynthia “Cindy” Gleaton Callahan, 74, of Aiken, SC will be held at two o’clock p.m., Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Williston Presbyterian Church, Williston, SC with the Reverend Doug Blaikie officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Cindy passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

Born in Wagener, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thurmond Gleaton and Ruth Chavous Gleaton. She owned and operated Cindy’s as a beautician for many years. She also worked at Savannah River Site for a number of years prior to her retirement. She loved fishing, baking cookies, making fudge and loved making crafts using anything and everything she could find and put together.

Survivors include her partner for Life James “Jim” Reed of the home; children, Paula Callahan Waller (Todd Waller) of Barnwell, SC, Larry Callahan, Jr. of Aiken; the late Margaret Reed, Marickie Reed Melodee Pitts, Michelle Clayton, Malinda Blackwelder and Michael Reed; a sister, Shirley (Buddy) Fulmer of Graniteville SC; grandchildren, Emily Ashba, Olivia Ashba and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren; great, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
