A Celebration of Life service for Dustin Cheyenne Jackson, 33 of Blackville, SC will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Folk Funeral Home Chapel in Williston, SC with the Chaplin Ricky Jenkins officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Towne, Logan Still, Cody Still, William Anderson, Matt Going, Brian Ducie, Justin Esposito, Hunter McClary and members of the Dorchester County Fire and Rescue. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Cheyenne passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025
Born in Augusta, GA, he was the son of Jeffery Jackson and Laura Padgett. Cheyenne enjoyed fire service in his younger years. He volunteered for Barnwell City Fire Department Station 1, Barnwell County Fire Department Station 11 and Govan Fire Department, he then worked for Dorchester County Fire and Rescue for several years. He had a love for his community and was a devoted firefighter, he served in many capacities; he was a fire department captain, EMT, swift water rescue swimmer for Dorchester County Marine Division, SCUSAR Taskforce 1, and was a member of SC-TFI and the Red Cross. He enjoyed teaching his fellow firefighters as an instructor for EMR and EMT.
Survivors include his mother, Laura Padgett of Blackville, SC; father and stepmother Jeffery (Judy) Jackson of Barnwell, SC; daughters, Harper Lee Jackson and Gentry Ranay Jackson; mother of his children Makayia Ryneer all of Williston, SC; sisters, Kari Dawn (Christian) Love, of Olar, SC and Macy Lauren Obermann of Savannah, GA; brothers, Austin Michael Jackson and Joe Dale (Morgan) Still both of Barnwell, SC; maternal grandmother Elizabeth Padgett and the late Lloyed Padgett; and the late paternal grandparents David and Dorothy Jackson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
