Cheryl Sanders Boozer, 75, of Barnwell, SC passed away on June 29, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday July 8, 2024, at eleven o’clock a.m. at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, Windsor, SC with the Reverend Dan Fogle and Dr. David Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends from ten a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church.
Born in Bamberg, SC she was a daughter of the late Clarence F. Sanders and Johnnie H. Sanders and was married to Johnny Wehunt. Cheryl graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was very passionate about her nursing career and was one of the first female paramedics with the Richland County Emergency Medical Services. Cheryl enjoyed cooking, shagging and traveling.
Survivors include her daughters, Cheri (Adam) Lewis of Lexington, SC and Allison Boozer of Columbia, SC; a sister, Rosemary Vriesema of Chapin, SC; a brother, John F. (Ginger) Sanders of Edisto Island, SC; four grandchildren; a cousin, Priscilla Heiting who she dearly loved and a number of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by an infant son, John Wesley Carney and a brother, Philip D. Sanders and John Stanley Boozer.
